Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited (GATM) has announced the formation of four wholly-owned subsidiaries, aiming to diversify its textile operations while adopting sustainable and renewable energy practices. The decision reflects the company’s commitment to modernizing its business and meeting global customer demands.
GATM has already taken steps towards energy efficiency, including the installation of a 17.1MW rooftop solar plant. Each subsidiary will operate as a private limited company under Gul Ahmed’s full ownership, ensuring compliance with SECP regulations and the Companies Act 2017.
With a history dating back to the 1900s, Gul Ahmed has evolved into one of Pakistan’s largest textile manufacturers and retailers, boasting over 40 retail stores nationwide. The company’s latest move reinforces its leadership in sustainable textile production and business expansion.
