United Motors has officially announced the launch of Jetour SUVs in Pakistan, with the brand’s debut set for February 20, 2025.
Jetour, a subsidiary of Chinese automaker Chery, specializes in SUVs and crossovers. The company is introducing two models in Pakistan the Jetour Dashing and the Jetour X70 Plus, both of which will be locally assembled as completely knocked-down (CKD) units.
X70 Plus (7-Seater) and Dashing (5-Seater) to Be Locally Assembled as CKD Units
The Jetour Dashing is a five-seater SUV equipped with a 1.5-liter Kunpeng turbocharged petrol engine. It delivers 115 kW and 230 Nm of torque and has an average fuel economy of 7.8 litres per 100 km.
The Jetour X70 Plus is a seven-seater SUV with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Its fuel economy is 7.8 litres per 100 km.
With Jetour entering the Pakistani market, United Motors is adding to the growing list of Chinese automakers, following brands like BYD and Deepal, which have already introduced electric vehicles (EVs) in the country.
As the demand for feature-rich, fuel-efficient SUVs continues to grow, Jetour’s locally assembled CKD models could become strong contenders in Pakistan’s SUV segment.
