Fifteen months ago, Z2C-backed Walee secured digital streaming rights for the Pakistan Super League.

According to the advertising pitch deck for PSL 9, the creator ecosystem was targeting reaching 30 million unique users, with 200 million total views.

The streaming platforms at the time were SnackVideo, Jazz Tamasha, and MyCo.

It’s worth noting that unlike Kantar as a verification currency for TV channels, there is no third-party in Pakistan that can validate or audit these claims of unique and total audiences.

According to Walee’s advertising pitch deck for PSL X, they achieved 37 million unique users and delivered 455 million total views, representing 23% and 227% over target.

Today, Variety broke the story that Z2C-backed SVOT OTT Begin.Watch has secured PSL streaming rights from Walee.

PSL X will be streamed on Jazz Tamasha, MyCo, Daraz, and Begin, which Walee estimates will represent 75 million unique users.

Walee’s advertising pitch deck for PSL X cites a target of 42 million unique users and 550 million views.

“The Pakistan Super League is not only Pakistan’s premier cricket tournament but also one of the most recognized T20 leagues globally, attracting top talent from around the world,” said Jonathan Mark, co-founder & CEO of Begin. “As digital platforms become the primary medium for sports consumption, our collaboration ensures that fans across Pakistan have seamless access to world-class cricket, reinforcing the growing importance of streaming in the region.”
