Easypaisa has introduced its groundbreaking platform, EasypaisaKarobar, aimed at addressing the financial needs of two million retail merchants nationwide, marking a significant shift in the traditional retail landscape.

In collaboration with Dukan, a prominent e-commerce infrastructure provider, Easypaisa developed EasypaisaKarobar to address critical challenges within the retail value chain, offering a seamless, all-in-one platform. The solution provides digital transaction services, retailer financing, and comprehensive distribution management, focusing on resolving issues related to cash handling and working capital common hurdles for retailers and distributors.

To promote the platform, two major events were held in Karachi and Lahore, attended by representatives from fintech firms, FMCG companies, and distribution houses. Telenor Bank (TMB)/Easypaisa’s senior leadership was also present, showcasing the platform’s potential.

Speaking at the Karachi event, Jahanzeb Khan, President & CEO of TMB/Easypaisa, emphasized the importance of partnerships in Pakistan’s evolving fintech ecosystem. He stressed that collaboration between like-minded organizations, like Easypaisa and Dukan, would enhance digital financial services, benefiting both individuals and businesses, and fostering financial inclusion across the country. Khan also highlighted the EasypaisaKarobar ecosystem as a mutually beneficial solution for retailers, distributors, and FMCG companies.

Shahzad Khan, Head of Channels, Corporate Business & Productive Lending at TMB/Easypaisa, provided insights into the country’s retail sector, affirming Easypaisa’s leadership in digital innovation. He described EasypaisaKarobar as a vital tool for reducing risks associated with cash handling and inefficiencies in supply chain management. “It offers flexible financing solutions and enables retailers and distributors to manage orders, track deliveries, and oversee inventory via mobile devices,” he noted.

The platform received widespread praise from event participants, reflecting its potential to address key challenges in the retail sector. The overwhelmingly positive feedback underscores Easypaisa’s commitment to empowering retailers with long-term solutions in finance, supply chain management, and order processing, while strengthening its role as a vital partner in the industry’s digital transformation.
